The School of Ministry exists to help us to know God and to understand his Word (knowing), to embrace our identity in Christ and to live a joyous and grace-filled life (being), and to develop and release our Spirit-given gifts (doing) that we might attain to the whole measure of the fullness of the Christian life, in and for the sake of the world.
1. To provide resources that will enable us to develop a firm biblical faith, marked by realism, thoughtfulness, integrity and the recognition that true knowing comes by way of love and obedience.
2. To ground the church in the historic doctrines of the Christian faith, and with this to understand and embrace our heritage as the one, holy, universal and apostolic Church, across history, across geography.
3. To foster an integrated faith in the intersection of life and work, worship and play, personal and professional life.
4. To promote a vision of the Church that extends to other races, Christian communities, people groups and nations.
5. To cultivate an openness to the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit through prayer, healing, and the prophetic.
6. To promote healthy models for male-female relationships, marriage, parenting, and inter-generational and inter-racial relations.
7. To enable persons to discover their spiritual gifts and to see them released within the Body, the city, and the world.
