Having trouble with the streaming audio?

1. There are several applications that will play streaming mp3 files. WinAmp is recommended because of its compatibility with the SHOUTcast server. It can be downloaded for free from the WinAmp web site. There's even a version for the Macintosh OS. RealOne (formerly RealPlayer) also works well and is available from the RealAudio site, but it's getting harder and harder to find a free version of their products. The player you choose needs to be associated with ".pls" files

2. The "Listen!" buttons do not link to the actual mp3 files, but rather to playlist files (.pls), so if you are being asked what to do with the file every time you hit the "Listen!" button, it's a good idea to choose "open from current location" and then uncheck the box which makes it prompt you every time you open a pls file. This setting will not affect the way your browser treats mp3 files.

3. For the time being, it seems there is no way to fast forward or rewind within the audio stream. Sorry about that! You can pause the stream, however.

4. We're new at streaming audio for our sermons. Let us know what kind of problems you run into! We may not be able to respond to each email, so please give a very detailed description of the messages you see.
